How it works

From a name to a site that stays up, one step at a time.

Scroll, and the board builds up as the route unfolds. Each step is a service we provide; together they are everything a website needs around it.

  1. Step 01 · Domain

    The name

Your domain, registered or transferred, and kept together with everything else.

Everything hangs off the name. Whether it is new or already yours, we bring it under the same roof as the website and the email so there is one place to look and one set of people to ask.

    • Registration or transfer
    • Managed alongside your website
    • Renewals kept in view

  2. Step 02 · DNS

    The address book

The records that point your name at your website and your email, looked after for you.

Behind every domain is a short list of records that tell the internet where the website and the email live. We manage that list, including the entries other services ask for, so you never have to.

    • Website and email records
    • Entries for third-party services
    • Changes made for you

  3. Step 03 · Hosting

    The home

A home for your website on infrastructure we look after ourselves, with HTTPS as standard.

Your site lives on hosting we run and understand, suited to both WordPress sites and modern fast-loading builds. Secure HTTPS is part of it, not an extra.

    • Hosting for WordPress and modern static sites
    • HTTPS included
    • Looked after by people who know your site

  4. Step 04 · Preview

    The private preview

New work is shown to you privately before it goes anywhere near the public.

A private address lets you click through the real thing, on your phone and your desk, and ask for changes before anyone else sees it.

    • A private preview address
    • Click through the real site
    • Hidden from search engines

  5. Step 05 · Launch

    The launch

The new site goes live on your own address, with a safe way back.

When you are happy, the new site takes the place of the old one. The previous version is kept, so a launch is a step forward you can step back from.

    • Backed up before launch
    • Previous version kept
    • Same address, same email

  6. Step 06 · Email

    The inbox

Mailboxes on your own domain, on every device you use.

Email on your own name, read in the browser or in the apps you already have, set up alongside the website rather than with a separate supplier.

    • Mailboxes on your domain
    • Webmail
    • Phones and desktops

  7. Step 07 · Care

    The watch

Monitoring and ongoing care from the people who built the site and host it.

The site is kept an eye on, and the next change or piece of work comes through the same small network, so nothing is lost between a studio and a help desk.

    • Monitoring
    • Updates and changes
    • One network, one conversation

Where to begin

Already somewhere along the route?

You might have a domain with another registrar, a site built elsewhere, or email that lives with a different provider. Each of these can join the route where it is.
